It’s been a mixed season for Manchester United in the Premier League but their fans here in the Tavern are in a buoyant mood ahead of a busy couple of months at the club!
The Red Devils fans lining the bar here in the pub are hoping for a busy summer of transfer activity, with additions certainly needing to be brought in after an often underwhelming campaign at Old Trafford.
Despite making the Europa League semi-finals, domestically they have been poor at times this season. And United fans have suffered a transfer setback in recent days after the Sunday Express reported that long-term midfield target Blaise Matuidi has been offered a new deal at PSG.
Whether this will impact his decision to move on over the summer is yet to be seen but the bumper contract offer suggests PSG are keen to keep hold of one of their biggest players for next season.
But for United, Matuidi is the sort of player who can add a real dimension of quality to Mourinho’s side and their fans here in the pub want to see the club do everything to bring him on over the summer!
