Mancini To Cash In His Chips – Italians Need To Find £40M

So how many City fans feel assured Carlos Tevez will be playing football at the City of Manchester City Stadium next season? Well he almost left in December but City managed to keep him but for how much longer? Many fans feel that the reason he stayed in January was that City promised to let him leave this summer.

This summer we will find out how loyal Tevez is to the City cause with Inter Milan set to pursue his signature. According to a report in Corriere dello Sport, Inter are considering making a move for the Manchester City striker in the summer transfer window.

The Italian giants are looking to replace the ageing Diego Milito ahead of the 2011-12 campaign and they reportedly consider 27-year-old Tevez to be the perfect addition to their front line.

Tevez started his professional career with Boca Juniors and also played for Corinthians, West Ham United and Manchester United before joining Manchester City in the summer of 2009.

The Argentina international has since developed into City’s star player and was named captain at the beginning of this season.

However, Tevez filed an official transfer request in December 2010 and has since continually being linked with a move away from the Premier League side, despite withdrawing his request and expressing his commitment to City.

Tevez has also been linked with clubs such as Real Madrid and Chelsea, but Inter seem to be determined to lure the attacker to Italy this summer.

Manchester City are unlikely to accept anything less than £40 million however having spent £30 million on him when joining from arch rivals United.
