Most wanted: These 2 West Ham players will surely be men in demand this summer

West Ham have been a much improved side in the second half of the season, much to the delight of our West Ham punters here at the Transfer Tavern.

It’s certainly important, too, as the failure to launch like at the start of the season can cause players to leave the club.

Indeed, the likes of Dimitri Payet and big names before him have left for just that reason, you’d certainly imagine.

Ironically, though, since the Hammers have lost Payet they appear to be doing a heck of a lot better, maybe his ego was getting to the team and now they feel more relaxed in the game knowing they are all at an even level.

Who knows, but with that and players playing at a high standard, it starts to attract interest from the ‘big boys’ in the league.

So with that in mind, these two West Ham players will surely be men in demand this summer…

MICHAIL ANTONIO

Antonio has been class for the Hammers this season, and has to be considered their player of the year.

If he continues to do what he does and score goals and be literally everywhere on the field, it will only be a matter of time before a big team tries and snap him up and West Ham will have to stand their own against them this summer, that’s for sure. Whether he’ll want to stay or not, also remains to really be seen.

PEDRO OBIANG

The Spanish midfielder has been unplayable at times this season in the heart of West Ham’s midfield and it could well be that this summer the club will have a fight to stop teams from all over Europe coming in for the 24-year-old.

He’s hot property at the moment and having played in Italy and being Spanish it opens so many outlets which he could go down to leave the club. The Hammers will have to stand firm and do everything to keep him, then.
