Upon his arrival from Borussia Dortmund during the summer, the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern were ready to crown Henrikh Mkhitaryan as their new playmaking genius.

While it is still early days for the Armenian midfielder at Old Trafford, things haven’t exactly worked out as planned for the 27-year-old.

Having struggled for game time, his first start against Manchester City in a thrilling derby day meeting last weekend saw him dragged at half-time.

Now, reports from the Sun claim he is unhappy at being played out of position.

Deployed on the right of an attacking three behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he reportedly wishes to play as a No.10.

Skipper Wayne Rooney currently occupies that berth under Jose Mourinho, despite his foray into midfield for both club and country.

As a result, United fans have been quite vocal in lamenting the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ for his reported impact on Mkhitaryan.
