The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern have been impressed with their entire squad this season…
It has been a dream start to the season for the Red Devils, with a 100% record heading into their next game – a clash with Leicester City.
Jose Mourinho, though, ever the perfectionist, has issued a rallying cry to one of his most impressive players, and has suggested that he is expecting him to get even better this season.
The man in question is Anthony Martial, who has had a tough time of it under Mourinho. This season he has looked very good, but the manager still isn’t particularly impressed.
He said: “I want more and more from him because he has all the qualities for that”.

Martial has bagged a goal in each of Man Utd’s opening games this season, albeit from the substitutes bench.
He’s clearly got the talent – you don’t receive the coveted Golden Boy award if you don’t – but he needs to start translating that into performances on the pitch. He’s started doing that this season, and he must continue to do so.
Landlord’s Verdict
On his day, there’s nobody better than Anthony Martial – but there’s no doubting that he has been out of form over the last year or so.
No manager is better at getting the best out of underperforming players, and so Mourinho certainly knows what he is doing.
If Martial wants to turn his substitute roles into starting roles, he needs to perform consistently.
