After a couple of poor seasons, Mourinho is really turning the fortunes of the Manchester-based club around – with the Red Devils embarking on quite an impressive run over the last few weeks.

It was a slow start for the Portuguese boss, but things are really beginning to look up.

However, there is only so much that Mourinho can do with the limited resources available to him – and in truth, he really needs to be financially backed if he is to succeed at Old Trafford.

A lot of money was spent over the summer, but the fact of the matter is that Man Utd’s squad is not yet good enough to compete at the highest level – and Mourinho realises that.

With that said, Mourinho must ask Woodward to seal these 2 transfers tomorrow for Man Utd…

 Tiemoue Bakayoko

Man Utd aren’t blessed with midfield depth, and Tiemoue Bakayoko could come in to serve as an additional line of defence for Mourinho.

The midfielder draws parallels with Michael Carrick, and with the English midfielder closing in on the end of his career – a few months alongside him would do wonders for Bakayoko.

If Mourinho wants to think long-term, Bakayoko is his man.

 Kostas Manolas

Man Utd’s need for a bit more defensive depth is clear, with the duo of Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo unlikely to cut it this season.

The pair have done well so far, but if Mourinho wants to reach the pinnacle of the Premier League – he needs more quality.

This is where Kostas Manolas comes in, and if the Red Devils were to sign the Greek defender – he could transform their fortunes at the back.
