Mourinho must consider dropping 1 of these 2 players against Watford today

The Manchester United supporters here in the Transfer Tavern have been a happy bunch of late, following a fine run of form which has propelled the Red Devils into Champions League contention.

Last weekend saw United defeat reigning champions Leicester City 3-0 and Jose Mourinho seems to have finally won the hearts of the ardent bunch of supporters in the Tavern.

It has taken a while for the Red Devils to get going this season and their fans will now hope for a big push during the remainder of the campaign, with the club looking desperately to reach the top four.

Despite a big win last weekend, the game was on a knife-edge at 0-0 and United boss Mourinho could still be tempted to ring some changes this weekend.

Lee Clarke looks at two players who could be dropped against Watford this afternoon at Old Trafford.

Marcos Rojo

The Argentinean has started the last two games for Manchester United in the Premier League but his withdrawal at half time on Sunday could speak volumes.

His replacement Daley Blind put in a strong performance in the second half and the Dutchman could get the nod to start this weekend.

One United supporter is having a game of pool here in the Tavern and he thinks that Rojo should be dropped this Saturday, stating that he thinks Blind is a more reliable option.

Marcus Rashford

The Manchester United youngster was handed the chance to start at the King Power Stadium last weekend, although he fluffed his lines with a glorious first-half chance and he remains without a league goal since September.

Mourinho doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to putting his faith in youth and such a long period without a league goal won’t help Rashford’s chance to play football.

One United fan is chatting to the landlord here in the Tavern and he thinks that the youngster just needs a prolonged run in the team in order to show the manager exactly what he is capable of.
