The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are keen to see some young blood come to Old Trafford in January…

The Red Devils have had a mixed start to the Premier League so far, with Jose Mourinho still finding his feet in the Man Utd hot seat.

Nobody in the Tavern was expecting the Portuguese boss to work wonders this season, with the Man Utd fans in-house happy with a Champions League finish at the end of the season; but there is a lot of work for Mourinho to do.

Part of that work will include bringing in some new players in January, but after so much money was spent over the summer – the Man Utd brass might demand a reduced spend in the new year.

As a result, Mourinho might be forced to look in a less recognised market; and our landlord thinks he should look towards those based in Asia.

United have had some top players from the continent in recent years, most notably Park Ji Sung – and they could yet uncover another star.

With that said, Mourinho must consider signing these TWO Asian stars for Man Utd in January…

 Takumi Minamino

Takumi Minamino is a rarity in that he is a young player with so much potential that has already made the jump to European football.

He is currently playing for RB Salzburg, and is best used as a centre-forward.

The exciting 21-year-old already has an impressive record, having scored 16 in 47 for his club – and Man Utd would be wise to look at the Japanese international.

He is in fine form so far this season too, having scored 3 goals in 2 games – and his stock is certainly on the rise.

January could be the time to make a move.

Reza Shekari

Reza Shekari is an exciting Asian talent currently playing Zob Ahan in the Persian Gulf Pro League.

Currently 18 years old, Shekari is an exciting attacking midfielder – and he has been quickly progressing through Iran’s respective youth sides, and is currently a member of Iran’s under-23 squad.

Since his arrival at Zob Ahan, he has established himself at the top of the pile with regards to young Asian talent, and he is destined for a big money move.

He has also currently been attracting interest from across Europe, with FC Basel reportedly keen – but Man Utd would almost certainly be more of a lure for the youngster.
