Mourinho must consider signing these 3 Brazilian stars for Man Utd in January

It may be October but here in the Transfer Tavern we’re already thinking about what could happen in the January transfer window.

We’ve already seen, in previous years, the likes of Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez change clubs in this window and we’re hoping for more sensational moves like that this time around.

Certainly, if this Summer was anything to go by, we’re in for a treat as we saw the likes of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic came through the Premier League door at Manchester United and it left the Red Devils fans here the Transfer Tavern in absolute wonderland.

United have started this season fairly well but the Man Utd fans in the Tavern think they could do better; and that’s why we reckon they’re going to do some serious business in January.

Our landlord reckons Mourinho will look for all kinds of nationalities so why not pick from one of the most successful? Here are three players to target from Brazil.

Fabinho

Antonio Valencia has done okay for Manchester United but he is still a makeshift right-back and that has shown again at times this season.

Mourinho is known to like specialists in certain areas and so it’s baffling he didn’t go for an orthodox full-back.

That’s why we expect Fabinho to certainly be of interest to the Portuguese boss in the January sales. He fits the bill perfectly.

Marquinhos

With Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling at the back United have a decent centre-half pairing but at times we’ve seen Smalling, in particular, go off the boil already this season.

It could be the case that he is getting complacent with no real competition for his spot at the back – and that’s why United should seriously entertain the idea of getting the PSG defender in.

He has age on his side, but is also experienced – he is the complete package.

Lucas Moura

Another PSG star, Lucas Moura would be perfect for United’s attack.

The Red Devils lack pace up top with only Marcus Rashford impressing this season, and that is something Mourinho needs to address if they want to compete back at the highest level properly.

Moura would be the ideal candidate and it may give Anthony Martial the kick he needs to find his form too.
