After a couple of mediocre seasons under Louis van Gaal and David Moyes, Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Man Utd was supposed to spark a wind of change at Old Trafford.

Mourinho has always been a manager that comes in and gets immediate success – but that has not been the case at Man Utd.

The Red Devils are currently way off the pace in the Premier League in 6th place – and there are a host of players in the first team that are simply not up to par at present.

Man Utd spent millions over the summer acquiring some of Europe’s most impressive talent, and it is up to Mourinho to ensure that all of his players are playing at their best.

Signed for a world-record fee over the summer, the Frenchman was expected to come in and revolutionise the Man Utd midfield – but that just hasn’t happened.

He has looked lazy and poor in the midfield, and some of the Man Utd fans in the Tavern have called for him to be dropped.

In truth, he has looked better in recent weeks – but he has been way off the mark when you consider his outrageous transfer fee.

Mourinho needs to get the best out of him, and if he does – it could transfer the club.

 Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has garnered a reputation in recent years as one of Europe’s most deadly attackers – but at Man Utd, he has looked a shadow of his former self.

He has still been scoring, but considering the rate to which his goal tally improved at PSG – he is way off the pace.

If Mourinho can get him firing as often as he did at PSG – he could lead the Red Devils to the title on his own.
