Jose Mourinho and Manchester United have hit some good form over the last few months, and the Red Devils here in the Tavern are looking pretty happy with themselves.

A draw against Liverpool last time out demonstrated that they have developed an inner steel under the Portuguese manager, and they look well on course to make an assault on the top four.

To do so though, United might need to add a few more names to their star studded squad between now and the end of the window in a few days.

Although blessed with talent galore, there is always space for another one or two top quality players in any squad.

The fans over at the dartboard have been discussing transfer dealings at Old Trafford, so with that in mind, here are TWO last minute deals Man United could look to pull off this January…

William Carvalho

Big central midfielder Carvalho has been a wanted man around Europe for some time now, and the Sporting Lisbon star could well move this January.

The lure of Jose Mourinho and Old Trafford though could be a deal breaker for the European Championship winner, and he would be a solid long term replacement for Michael Carrick.

Leonardo Bonucci

United could do with another centre half ideally, and Italian Bonucci is a world class option.

Although he would not come cheap, he is not beyond the spending power of a team like United, and they could well look to launch an audacious bid if they wanted their man.

Bonucci has been excellent for both Juventus and Italy over the last few years, and would be a stunning capture at Old Trafford if a deal could be done.
