Mourinho simply must drop these 2 Man Utd players against Tottenham – agreed?

Man Utd’s next game is a must-win fixture, at least according to the fans in the Transfer Tavern. They’re still feeling the effects of Man Utd’s loss to Huddersfield last weekend, with the Red Devils succumbing to their first loss of the season against the David Wagner-led outfit. In truth, they certainly deserved to lose the game, given that their performance was far below what the fans in the pub have come to expect in recent months.

Given that loss, Man Utd’s next game against Tottenham has become all the more important. Tottenham have been playing very well indeed, and Mauricio Pochettino’s men are going to provide a stern test for Man Utd. That said, a win is absolutely essential, as another defeat could raise some serious questions about Man Utd’s title credentials this season.

If Mourinho wants to beat his in-form title rivals, though, he’ll need to pick a very strong side, and he can’t afford to pick any players that aren’t going to do a job for him. Based on their performance last week, then, a few changes could be necessary.

With that said, Mourinho simply must drop these 2 Man Utd players against Tottenham – agreed?

 Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial has blown rather hot and cold so far this term.

On his day he is unstoppable, but often times this season he has struggled. Unfortunately for him, last week’s clash against Huddersfield saw him struggle.

Mourinho isn’t blessed with depth, but the attack is a strong area for the manager, and so if a player underperforms, he has a number of players to call upon.

Martial needs to sit this one out.

 Victor Lindelof

Victor Lindelof played the majority of Man Utd’s last Premier League game owing to injury, but that needs to change against Tottenham.

He was at fault against Huddersfield on more than one occasion, with the Swedish defender clearly out of his depth.

That is only going to be exploited even more against Tottenham, with the likes of Son Heung-min and Dele Alli likely to feast on his errors at the back if he is selected.
