Mourinho simply must utilise these 2 as impact subs against Liverpool today

The Transfer Tavern’s much loved landlord has made sure that he has extra staff behind the bar for this Sunday’s massive offering from the Barclays Premier League, as Liverpool make the journey along the M62 to take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.

There is little in the way of love lost between the two historic clubs and the Tavern’s chief is eagerly anticipating that the banter and the friendly ribbing will be in full flow on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils are one of the form side in the Premier League going into the contest but Liverpool know that a win this weekend, will put them in good shape to go on and secure a place in the Premier League’s top four.

Ahead of this weekend’s crucial showdown, writer Lee Clarke looks at two players who should be used as impact subs by Jose Mourinho

Marcus Rashford

The young sensation has found league starts hard to come by for United this season and he will undoubtedly be hoping to play more between now and the end of the campaign.

Rashford’s record in big games is superb though and he will surely be introduced into the action at some point at Old Trafford on Sunday.

One United supporter is flabbergasted that Jose hasn’t chosen to utilise the boy wonder from the start more often, stating that he thinks the player could be a big asset against Liverpool this weekend.

Wayne Rooney

Despite starting in the FA Cup against Reading last weekend it is thought that Rooney will be restored to the bench for the visit of Liverpool on Sunday.

One thing Rooney does love, however, is a crucial goal against the Reds and should he get on the pitch this weekend, Liverpool will need to be aware of his potential.

One Unite fan is having a chat with the landlord and he thinks that given his big game experience Rooney should be starting on Sunday and not sat on the bench.
