Moyes Hits Meltdown: Tottenham Set To Take 2 Stars

Sources from within Goodison say that David Moyes is not a happy man.

The Toffees story this window was always likely to be centred around Steven Pienaar and  that story hasn’t gone away. In fact it’s a fire that’s been fanned by the breaking news that Spurs are also in for Phil Neville.

The Neville link was made last week on a number of Spurs forums, but was confirmed on ESPN by Clive Allen last night. He said,

“I think phil is a fantastic player, a player of great experience who certainly played Gareth Bale well last week and is something that you know we have targets in the window and I wouldn’t be suprised if phil neville is one othose.”

Many Spurs fans are likely to question the wisdom of bringing in Neville, but much of this is largely a gut reaction. As a player he would bring in the class that is frequently absent from the Tottenham back four.

Talk of Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate is all very admirable but if Spurs want to rubber stamp their Champions League credentials they need players who can play – not talk.

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
