Nelson Oliveira attracting interest from Turkey

Norwich City are currently sitting at the summit of the Championship table as they enter the busy festive period of the season.

The Canaries are leading the chasing pack, largely in part to performances from star striker Teemu Pukki, who has netted 10 goals in his 16 league outings so far this season.

With the addition of Jordan Rhodes on loan as well, Daniel Farke has found it difficult to accommodate Nelson Oliveira and it appears as though he could be moved on in January.

According to a report by Fotospor, Besiktas are thought to be interested in taking the Portugal international away from Carrow Road.

It is claimed that the Europa League outfit want to take the striker on an initial six-month loan deal before paying around €3million for him.

However, Norwich are believed to want the €3m up front and let Oliveira depart on a permanent basis in January.

The Verdict:

Oliveira has become surplus to requirements at Norwich this season and a move would appear to be in his best interests.

The 27-year-old has found himself out-of-favour at Carrow Road this season following the rise of Pukki and Rhodes and could look to leave England to resurrect his career with the Turkish outfit.

However, a deal may be far from completion at the moment, as it seems the two clubs are far from agreeing upon the terms of a possible transfer.
