Tottenham fans here in the Tavern are fearing the worst, as injuries continue to take their toll on the club meeting their aspirations for this season.
Mauricio Pochettino has had a rather unfortunate season in North London, as a constant injury crisis has halted any progress being made by the Lilywhites. And, with their all-important Champions League second-leg encounter coming up against Juventus on the 7th of March, our local residents are hoping that their beloved Spurs suffer no more setbacks prior to the clash.
But, it appears as if the curse is yet to be lifted from Wembley Stadium, as the influential pairing of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are both currently out through ankle and hamstring injuries respectively. Although, the latest developments suggest that both absences are expected to be ‘short-term’, something that won’t fill fans with too much hope after seeing Erik Lamela and Victor Wanyama sidelined for much longer than was first expected.
Indeed, Tottenham’s Twitter account took to notify fans of the team news ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup replay against Rochdale.

Nevertheless, here’s a look at exactly the sort of reaction being given off by supporters on social media…
