New West Brom boss targets his former player to battle relegation fight

CrouchWest Brom fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are putting faith in their new boss after the Mirror revealed that Tony Pulis is eyeing a move for Stoke’s target man Peter Crouch as he looks to avoid relegation.

The manager will be confirmed in his new job on Thursday and it seems as though he already has his eyes set on reinforcements.

The Baggies are usually against making transfers in January as the prices are inflated, but Pulis has compiled a list of potential additions.

It is likely that they will be able to capture the 33-year-old as he is out of contract in the summer and the player knows Pulis very well after he brought him to the Britannia Stadium in 2011 from Spurs for £10m.

It is thought that the new boss is also looking to add pace and width to a very rigid Baggies side.

With other potential targets being Crystal Palace winger Jason Puncheon, Stoke forward Jonathon Walters – who are set to be free agents at the end of the season, whilst he is also interested in Matt Jarvis on loan from West Ham.
