Miguel Almiron finally ended his goal drought for Newcastle United on Saturday, and fans are loving the reaction from cult hero Allan Saint-Maximin.
The Magpies may have had a rocky start under Steve Bruce, but now 18 games into the campaign they sit in ninth place and a whopping ten points clear of the bottom three.
Bruce’s men have thrived at St. James’ Park in particular, as they picked up another three points on Saturday afternoon against Crystal Palace.
Roy Hodgson’s Eagles side were heavily depleted by injuries, but the Magpies still had to grind out a result, winning 1-0 courtesy of Almiron’s emphatic finish in the 83rd minute.
Almiron smashed the winner into the roof of the net from about 12 yards out, and Saint-Maximin’s reaction on Twitter has delighted the Toon Army.
