Newcastle United have recovered some form after their dire start to the season and have won their last two games. However, that doesn’t mean that their squad is all there, and January signings will be something that the fans are desperate for, with The Daily Mirror claiming that Atalanta United’s Miguel Almiron could be on his way to St James Park.

The Paraguayan midfielder has been catching the eye over in the MLS and whilst normally it’s the experienced veterans who swap the Premier League for life in the USA playing out their finals days, this deal would see the opposite happen. The 24-year-old has bagged himself an impressive 12 goals and 13 assists in 32 games for his side in the MLS this season and if he was to swap Atlanta for Newcastle in January they’d be some very happy Magpies.
At the moment, the two players in Almiron’s role currently at St James Park are Yoshinori Muto and Ayoze Perez. Both of those two have got a goal each so far this season and a lot of The Geordies are expecting Rafa to be looking to sign a new player to fill in and add some competition in the #10 role. With a new man like Almiron roaming around behind Salomon Rondon, the goals could really start flowing for The Magpies.

I predict a low ball offer to be rejected and he goes to West ham

This will be number 1 of 40 players linked that we can’t afford!

Must be true it’s one of Ashley’s preferred press outlets……….

Rafa is willing to do a lot of thing, but Ashley isn’t.

The Geordies would love to sign Almiron but this looks like one that simply won’t happen considering the interest around the player.
