Newcastle: Fans on Twitter far from happy as Bruce gives his verdict on Longstaff

Newcastle fans have had very little to cheer about so far this season, even if we are only two games into it. A 1-0 home loss to Newcastle followed by a 3-1 away loss at Norwich has given the Magpies a poor start, and it could be set to get worse with Tottenham up next.

Last weekend against Norwich, Bruce opted to leave Sean Longstaff on the bench, and ahead of this week’s game against Tottenham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Bruce has claimed that he’s been impressed by Longstaff as the player looks to force his way back into the starting eleven.

That’s something that the fans below don’t believe that Longstaff should have to do though. The Geordies, as you will see below, want Longstaff used in a two-man midfield and some of them even believe the youngster is their best option in the middle of the park, further lowering their estimations of Steve Bruce.
