The current situation at Newcastle United is a dour one. The Geordies have picked up just two points from their opening eight games and whilst five of those games have come against last season’s top six, it’s still a shocking return which the fans will be keen to see turned around. However, with an easier run-in for their next six games, things could be about to change.
Next six games…
Brighton (H)
Southampton (A)
Watford (H)
Bournemouth (H)
Burnley (A)
West Ham (H)If we’re still 19th after that, we’ll go down. #NUFC

Currently, the club are 19th, however, their next six games will see them play Brighton at home, Southampton away, Watford at home, Bournemouth at home, Burnley away and West Ham at home and plenty of the supporters are expecting the club to pick up some points and climb out of the bottom three with some big wins in the coming weeks when club football returns after the international break.
In truth, Newcastle haven’t been awful this season. They’ve only conceded 13 times despite the fact they’ve already faced Manchester City, Tottenham, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal. The issue is the lack of goals. In eight games they’ve scored just six times, all in losses, and so far, their two points have come from goalless draws against Crystal Palace and Cardiff.

If we dont get 10 pts from 18 we'll be in big trouble

The Magpies will be desperate to finally get some wins on the board and their upcoming six games are a great chance for them to do that.
