This time last year, Nahitan Nandez was switching from Uruguayan side, Penarol to Boca Juniors, one of South America’s most famous club sides. However, after just one year at Boca and having bagged four goals in 24 appearances, the 22-year-old could be set for a move to Tyneside, according to LaMitadMas1 on twitter.

The 22-year-old Uruguayan is capable of playing both in central-midfield and out on the right-wing and his versatility and consistency have earned him 17 caps for his country, despite his young age. Now though, he could be set to make the biggest move of his career and sign for Newcastle, where he’ll play under one of the world’s greatest managers, Rafa Benitez, in the greatest league in the world.
Considering what some of South America’s greatest talents have gone for this window Mike Ashley will be keen on signing this youngster on a much cheaper deal. Richarlison, Lucas Torreira and Alisson Becker have all made big money moves to big Premier League clubs and if Nandez does join Newcastle, he could help the Magpies return a tidy profit in a couple of years time if he manages to make a name for himself.
