Newcastle fans are all starting to get excited as the takeover stuff draws on. In previous experiences with Amanda Staveley and Peter Kenyon, the Geordies have got so involved and caught up in the potential takeover that when they fell through it was heart-wrenching. It also seems that they aren’t learning from their mistakes this time around.
The Gazette understands a number of booking slots have been taken up on Friday, unexpectedly, for private jets from the UAE at Newcastle Airport. It is not known whether these have any connection to the takeover process. https://t.co/8sMklNYLm0 #nufc

An update on the potential changing of ownership at Newcastle United came from The Sheilds Gazette yesterday. According to the Tyneside publication, a number of private jets have unexpectedly been booked in at Newcastle airport from the UAE, the homeland of Sheikh Khaled, the man reportedly willing to part with a cool £350 million to prise NUFC from the hands of Walsall-born Mike Ashley.
The article from the Gazette does also claim that if this takeover is to go ahead then the chances are it will take a while to do so, and Mike Ashley is still going to be the man in charge of tying down Rafa Benitez to a new contract. All that the Magpies can do now is wait, and that doesn’t mean wait outside Newcastle airport on Friday hoping to see the Sheikh.
And, another update from Mark Douglas of the Chronicle Live made fans even more sceptical, as he stated yesterday that the Premier League hasn’t received forms from Newcastle United or the interested party.
Can confirm Premier League has *not* received forms from #nufc or Bin Zayed group related to prospective takeover.
Authorities have been informed something is in offing (they were over Kenyon deal too, FWIW) but no paperwork submitted as of today.

We all get sucked in everytime. Meanwhile Ashley’s stooges are creating fake accounts getting the rumours going. Nufc has shortened my life by about 12 years. Ha, that’s how many years Ashley’s been at our club

Sorry folks but it’s more likely the yearly plane load of wealthy Arabs who go on grouse shooting parties in Northumberland and the borders.

It’s all been a smoke screen by Ashley and his minions to detract from Rafa and the lack of transfer movement… happens every transfer window…I bet they are pissing themselves they have pulled it off a 3rd time….

The Magpies hate the idea of this one falling through, but will equally be as sceptical as possible amid fears of being let down again.
