Yesterday saw Newcastle lose out 2-1 at home to Wolves in the only Premier League clash of the day. It was one of those games where things just didn’t fall the way of the Magpies, and it certainly didn’t help that the fans weren’t happy with the team lineup before the game had even kicked off.

The Geordies were instantly upset ahead of the game as Rafa Benitez continued to show his support for misfiring forward, Ayoze Perez. The Spanish striker missed a handful of chances last weekend against West Ham in their 3-0 home defeat and considering that the frontman has got just two goals and two assists in his 17 appearances this season, you can see why he’s not the most popular man at St James Park.
Instead, a lot of the fans have been calling for new summer signing, Yoshinori Muto to be given a chance. The Japanese forward has only got one goal to his name so far, but that goal came at Old Trafford against Manchester United and considering the Japanese international’s limited opportunities, it looks like they’d much rather see him given a run of 90-minute matches to try and prove himself to the Magpies.

Perez shouldn’t be starting muto should be in

The Magpies were far from happy to see Perez start and would much rather have had Muto in from the start against Wolves.
