Steve Bruce got off to a losing start at Newcastle United yesterday. His side fell 1-0 to Arsenal via a second-half Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goal, although the fans did get to see one of their exciting new signings in action.

As the half-time whistle went, Newcastle fans took to Twitter to call for one particular change. They had witnessed a promising 45 minutes with Jonjo Shelvey striking the woodwork but ultimately the tie remained goalless.
The change the fans wanted was to see their new summer signing Allan Saint-Maximin come on, and when he made his entrance he showed why. According to WhoScored, in the Frenchman’s 22 minutes of action, he managed two dribbles, one shot and eight passes with a 100% accuracy, and when the Magpies travel to Carrow Road next weekend, Bruce will want to see more of the same from the winger.

The Geordies were desperate to see their French winger yesterday, and whilst he got just over 20 minutes, next weekend could see him rack up even more game time.
