Newcastle United supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern have a lot of optimism ahead of the 2017/18 Premier League season following their return having won the Championship title.
The Magpies have also learnt their top-flight fixtures for next term, which includes a difficult opener against Tottenham Hotspur with a trip to Huddersfield Town succeeding that.
Fans by the bar have been discussing the ambition of honourable manager Rafa Benitez and hope a battle for relegation is a distant fear that supporters won’t have to worry about throughout the next campaign.
The worst scenario is a drop to the second-tier for the Tyneside outfit, but to utterly and completely avoid that then the club need to dive far into their pockets to heavily invest in the playing squad – ensuring at least a mid-table finish for the north-east side.
With that on the conscience; here are two attackers Newcastle United should consider making a move for this summer transfer window…..Do you agree?
Loic Remy

Loic Remy found possession of game time last season a difficult task to head on as the Frenchman endured a very tough loan spell at Premier League team Crystal Palace, from Chelsea.
The Newcastle-mad punters in the Football Transfer Tavern were fans of the 30 year-old during his stint at St. James’ Park back in the 2013/14 campaign, having netted fourteen goals to impress the Toon Army.
Rafa Benitez would still have to stump up a fee for Remy as he has one-year remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge but is marginally out-of-favour and is likely to depart the top-flight champions this summer.
Fernando Forestieri

One man who may be unknown to the Football Transfer Tavern is Sheffield Wednesday starlet Fernando Forestieri – a player whose been on the radar for a number of English clubs in recent times.
Predominantly a centre-forward, the Italian often plays behind the striker and that is something that Newcastle United largely lack going into pre-season training later this month, so he is definitely a proposition that Rafa Benitez needs to dive in for.
Forestieri bagged on twelve occasions last season and provided a further six assists, statistics which could become pivotal for the Magpies if they aim to stay adrift of the relegation zone next term.
Newcastle United supporters, would you need to strengthen your attack? Are these two suitable additions to the ranks? Let us get your thoughts in the comment section below!
