Newcastle United: Allan Saint-Maximin throws shade at Joelinton after Sheffield United win

Following a much-needed 2-0 away win at Sheffield United on Thursday night – a match that eases the pressure on Steve Bruce’s shoulders heading into a hectic festive period – Newcastle United fans have howled at Allan Saint-Maximin’s latest antics whilst praising the Frenchman for opening his club account.

Saint-Maximin bagged his first goal in Newcastle colours when he converted Javier Manquillo’s brilliant cross with a sumptuous downward header, with midfielder Jonjo Shelvey later bagging a controversial second goal when he took advantage of some offside confusion and gave the Magpies a more comfortable lead.

However, despite the epic result away to a side that has been famously solid defensively so far this season, supporters can’t help but laugh at Saint-Maximin’s latest antics – with the 22-year-old, talking to Sky Sports’ Keith Downie, hinting that Shelvey is the best striker at the club – leaving Joelinton possibly scratching his head.
