Following a dismal 4-1 defeat away to Manchester United on Boxing Day, with Everton up next, Newcastle United supporters have been dealt another ‘blow’ according to a report from the Chronicle – with reported midfield target Granit Xhaka looking like he is heading to Hertha Berlin.
The Swiss international fell out of favour at Arsenal due to the infamous spat on the touchline with supporters after being taken off in their home draw to Crystal Palace, with Xhaka searching for a move away ever since – and now it appears he is returning to the Bundesliga – at least according to Blick who spoke to his agent.
In response, Newcastle supporters haven’t exactly been all doom and gloom about the news, with the majority of them dismissing the notion of ever getting him in the first place.
