After winning two games in a row for the first time this season, picking up three points in their encounters with Bournemouth and West Ham respectively, some Newcastle supporters have appeared to show some praise for Steve Bruce.

Bruce, who was brought in as a replacement for the much-loved Rafael Benitez after he opted to leave St. James’ Park, had to bear the brunt of discontent at the beginning of his reign – having to follow up, arguably, the best manager Newcastle have had in recent years, and taking plenty of flak for it.
Despite impressive 1-0 victories against the likes of Spurs and Manchester United, Bruce still wasn’t given much praise due to the team’s ineptitude going forward – taking until the West Ham game to score more than once in a Premier League match this season.
However, after watching their side find the net five times in two consecutive wins, supporters have appeared to ease off the manager and throw some rare praise towards the former defender.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter:
Hes getting it right atm, all credit to him and the players for that. After Leicester I thought we were doomed
