Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu could be tasked with filling the shoes of star man Allan Saint-Maximin over the next month as his French teammate recovers from injury, but at the Royal Victoria Infirmary he got to put those pressures aside and give something back to the fans.

The Ghanaian has been chasing regular playing time since the Magpies brought Saint-Maximin to Tyneside, with the £16.5 million signing thoroughly impressing for most of the campaign before limping off against Southampton in their last home win.
Now, potentially tasked with replacing the 22-year-old’s influence on the right-hand side, Atsu has plenty to think about heading into Newcastle’s next home encounter with Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Before another crucial 90 minutes, though, Atsu got to give back to the community by visiting fans and patients at the Royal Victoria Infirmary along with the rest of the squad.
