It was only back in December that Sean Longstaff put pen to paper on a deal keeping him at St. James’ Park until 2022, and now it looks like less than a year later he’ll be signing a new deal with the club.
Newcastle United are in talks with Sean Longstaff over a new contract, which could be worth as much as £80,000 a week.

According to The Times, the young midfield man, and his younger brother Matty Longstaff, are both in line for new contracts at the club, with older brother Sean in line to earn a fee of around £80,000 per/week if the facts stack up.
Over the summer, Sky Sports claimed that Manchester United were interested in signing Longstaff from Newcastle, but as the transfer deadline has now passed and the midfielder is still at St. James’ Park, this contract has come as great news for the Magpies who, as you’ll see below, are delighted.

Longstaff, despite only playing 14 senior games for Newcastle, is clearly a fan favourite going off the above and a new contract will come as great news.
