Newcastle United: Fans notice ‘unbelievable’ Willems skill during Manchester City clash

After managing to draw 2-2 at home to Premier League champions Manchester City last weekend, with a trip to Bramall Lane tonight on the cards, Newcastle United supporters aren’t quite done celebrating the incredible goals that got them an unlikely result – even managing to notice something during the build up to Jetro Willems’ wonderful equaliser.

Even though it wasn’t noticed at first by many onlookers, the Dutch defender actually produced a sublime touch to take the ball down and lay it off for a one-two with Miguel Almiron – with Newcastle’s official club account also picking up on the moment and replaying it in slow motion.

The clip shows Willems flick a pass up to his head and confuse City defender John Stones before laying it off to Almiron who quickly returned the favour for him to blast an unstoppable drive beyond Ederson for a quick equaliser.
