Newcastle United fans have long taken issue with the running of their club, and Mike Ashley and Lee Charnley are the two men who take the blame from the supporters, with the recent protests before the Arsenal game last weekend an example of that.
Lee Charnley insists Steve Bruce is the right man for the job and can dovetail with club's policy. #NUFC https://t.co/ZGV1Dhgbjh

However, the fans have now been given some comments to get their teeth into and pick apart from Charnley, their club’s managing director. Charnley, speaking to The Chronicle, addressed a number of issues, one of which being the appointment of Steve Bruce.
He denied rumours that Bruce was the club’s 11th choice manager, describing it as ‘Nonsense’ and ‘Absolute garbage’. Charnley then went on to compliment Bruce for his man-management and say that he was ‘always in their thinking.’

He’s the right man for Ashley & Lee. He is their puppet and he will do whatever they want him to do.

Basically hired him because he’s a nice guy who won’t cause any drama or politics behind the scene. Rafa was too hard work for them all

I know for a fact that they wanted Arteta but he refused as they wouldn’t allow him backroom staff of 8. They only allowed 3 maximum .

“Dovetail with club policy” – translation “do what he’s told”

The Geordies are all in agreement that Charnley is talking rubbish, which is pretty obvious from the tweets above.
