Newcastle United fans have reacted to the question posed by the Chronicle on Twitter if they would like to see on-loan striker Salomon Rondon be offered a permanent deal to remain at the North East club when the season ends.
The 29-year-old opened his account for the Magpies on Saturday when he scored a brace in a 2-1 win over Bournemouth at St James’s Park and after a very slowly start to the season, the club’s fans are a bit sceptical if he will continue to produce performances like that.
Newcastle’s back-to-back wins in the Premier League have given their fan base something to smile about following a horror beginning to their campaign, but the fans are calling for consistency for the rest of the season to avoid facing a relegation battle.
Given that battle, most fans have indicated that they would assess Rondon’s position at the club if he manages to play a key role in them remaining in the Premier League.
Here are some of their reactions to that Twitter question:

1 brace. We need to take stock-check. I thought he was superb on Saturday don’t get me wrong. Toon realism says be careful.
Is he liable for injury more than the next? Hope not. Showed exactly what’s missing! #NUFC— Roger Cook (@RogerCook1978) November 13, 2018
Seriously! The guy has had 1 decent game. Currently hell no. Give me 15+ goals and we can re-addesss the question. Plus drop 10kg.

Bare in mind he’s still not ‘fully’ match fit but he’s improved massively over the last two games & can only get better…
If he carries on like this as he’s looking like the old fashioned centre-forward we’ve missed then why not?
We’ll still need more bodies of course— Jase (@jasonhebron) November 12, 2018
Yes please!

Nope, he’s not really a prospect for the future!
