Many Newcastle United fans have reacted as Steve Bruce has reportedly revealed what his plans are for the upcoming summer transfer window, despite the possibility of a proposed takeover going through in the North East.

As per ChronicleLive, the manager of the Tyneside club has insisted that they are still active in the market for new players despite all of the speculation being thrown about at St. James’ Park about the prospective £300 million deal between Mike Ashley and Amanda Staveley’s Kingdom of Saudi Arabian-led group.

However, Bruce has dismissed that the Magpies are working hand-in-hand with the would-be owners and has openly said that they are looking at a couple of potential deals.

With the likelihood that a lot of money will be available to spend if the bid is eventually approved by the Premier League, one NUFC supporter has perhaps sarcastically suggested that ‘Haaland & Neymar’ should be targets, as another member of the Toon faithful urged the club to ‘take a punt at Pukki’.

The Norwich City striker has scored a relatively impressive 11 goals and made three assists in 30 games in the Premier League so far in the 2019/20 season, according to Transfermarkt, and may be available for a reduced fee if the Canaries get relegated from the top flight.
