Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to voice their support for struggling forward Miguel Almiron after Steve Bruce showed faith in the Paraguayan to make a success of his Magpies career.

Almiron has found life tough at Newcastle since joining from MLS side Atlanta United in 2018. Since then, the 25-year-old has yet to register a goal or assist for the Magpies and has not quite justified his £21m price tag – the second-most expensive in the club’s history after summer signing Joelinton.
Indeed, Almiron has proved his worth elsewhere as he bagged 13 goals and 11 assists for Atlanta, catapulting them to MLS Cup glory in 2018. And, just this year did he has registered two assists in four games for Paraguay (statistics as per WhoScored).
Just as Bruce’s impassioned defence of Almiron has caught the eye, these fans have also joined in to strongly support their struggling forward, who they believe will come good.

His form under Bruce yes… Bruce is his main problem, Rafa signed the boy, had faith in the boy, wanted to improve him as a player.. Bruce’s attitude towards him is ‘you cost 16.5m so you can play up front’. Event though that isn’t his natural position
