Many Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been reacting to Salomon Rondon’s comments regarding what his future could have been at St. James Park.

Rondon spent last season in Newcastle on loan from West Brom and enjoyed a prolific spell on Tyneside, having netted 11 goals and provided seven assists in 32 Premier League appearances.
The 30-year-old has recently said that he would have liked to have continued at the Magpies. He told todofichajes.com via ChronicleLive: “I would have continued in Newcastle if they had given me the opportunity, but I couldn’t.”
That clearly shows his desire to have signed for Newcastle, following another report from the Mirror via the Chronicle this summer in which it was said he ‘told friends he wants to join the Magpies on a permanent basis’.
Rondon instead signed for Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League on a three-and-a-half-year deal, joining up with ex-Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez in the process. He added: “Now I am very happy in China. The league is quite different and the language is totally different, but it is a matter of adapting.”
As you can imagine given his importance last season, many Newcastle fans have had their say on the matter.

How was it greed, Newcastle didn’t want to pay £16m for him, that Chinese club did so why should he just spite himself because our club wasn’t willing to buy him?
