After losing 1-0 away to Burnley last weekend, Newcastle United host Crystal Palace on Saturday in a bid to return back to winning form – with this latest injury update for the visitors not prompting the most positive reaction from Magpies supporters, despite its potential benefits to the team.

According to quotes sourced in a report from the Shields Gazette, opposition boss Roy Hodgson is currently lamenting his ‘worst injury crisis’ in years ahead of the clash at St. James’ Park – with six first-team players set to miss the action this weekend.
Among those set to not play against the Magpies, former players Andros Townsend and Patrick van Aanholt have been rocked by injury, as well as England defender Gary Cahill, Jeffrey Schlupp, Jairo Riedewald and Joel Ward.
However, despite the seemingly beneficial news to Steve Bruce’s side, Newcastle supporters have brushed it off and are still pessimistic over their chances at the weekend – citing their own injury worries to be concerned over.
Here’s how they responded on social media.
