Loads of Newcastle fans have been giving their verdict on what went wrong in Wednesday’s defeat to Leicester, and plenty have pointed the finger at Florian Lejeune.
The Magpies looked to be turning things around under Steve Bruce before Christmas, going eight Premier League matches at St. James’ Park without a defeat.
They have now lost their last two home fixtures though following a heavy defeat at Old Trafford, and the wafer-thin squad quite simply cracked against the Foxes.
Brendan Rodgers’ side raced out to a 2-0 lead in the first half despite never really breaking a sweat, as Lejeune gifted two goals to the visitors with slack passes, before injuries meant a ten-man Magpies could do nothing but park the bus in the second period, eventually losing 3-0.
Lejeune had the look of a man who has suffered two serious knee injuries and then returned to play three matches in the space of a week, as he surrendered possession a horrific 21 times, per Sofascore.
He scored just 4.9 out of 10 on Sofascore’s player rating system, and fans are venting their anger on Twitter.
Take a look at some of the best reactions down below…
Lejeune has just given away two goals in the space of five minutes. Awful stuff.

He can use that excuse for being off the pace but that pass was a joke
