Some Newcastle United fans have slammed a claim from former Arsenal player now pundit Paul Merson that the Tyneside club should buy Jack Grealish in the summer transfer window.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Football Show (via ChronicleLive), Merson claims that whilst the Magpies may not have a chance to sign Kevin De Bruyne or Bruno Fernandes, they may be able to tempt Grealish.

He says that the Toon do not have enough brave footballers, and when he played he would try and keep the supporters quiet. Merson added that the £27.45 million-valued ace would tick the boxes, as he would entertain and get on the ball.
Indeed, Grealish is enjoying a relatively decent season despite Aston Villa lying in the relegation zone at the moment. The 24-year old has scored nine goals and made eight assists in 31 appearances in all competitions, as per Transfermarkt.
Nevertheless, these NUFC fans slammed Merson’s view and are not keen on Grealish:
