According to a report from the Daily Mirror via HITC, Leicester City are ‘pushing hardest’ to sign Hull City midfielder Jarrod Bowen in the race for his signature – coming as a potential blow to Newcastle United who have reportedly (per the Chronicle) been interested in the Championship star for some time.

Bowen, who has bagged 15 goals and four assists in just 22 Championship appearances so far this campaign, could be a key target for the Magpies in their bid to strengthen their midfield – with the Englishman now potentially having to decide between them, Southampton and Leicester City over a Premier League move.
Newcastle’s current preferred front three of Allan Saint-Maximin (injured), Joelinton and Miguel Almiron have just two goals between them so far this season – prompting the interest for Bowen who can potentially improve those dwindling numbers.
However, with the news that Leicester are reportedly winning the race for his signature, Magpies supporters have shown their discontent in their potential failure to land the youngster.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
Give them joelinton

We was never going to get him! Charnley couldn’t get a signing over the line even if the player Walked to st James park and said I want to sign for this club!!!

If we don’t get this lad we are missing out big time – who would ever have thought Leicester City would be signing players ahead of NUFC in the pre Ashley era? 🤦🏻♂️

Once someone wants the same player as NUFC, forget it. Ashley never competes for anyone

Charnley will probably put in a bid when Bowen is having a medical at Leicester 🤣
