Fans are starting to see the positives of Steve Bruce’s reign following a 2-0 win at Sheffield United on Thursday night.
The result takes them to four wins in their last eight games heading into a busy festive period, with the Magpies giving themselves the advantage of putting a hefty cushion above the drop zone.
When former managerial favourite Rafael Benitez departed St. James’ Park last summer, many supporters were pessimistic about their future prospects, but statistics have pointed out they’re actually more better off than they were at the same stage last season.
This has prompted a divide between the fanbase, with a section of fans approving of Bruce’s tenure, and another section who still aren’t convinced – but after their latest victory, more and more supporters seem to be starting to change their minds.
