Newcastle United fans here in the Tavern are hopeful that their side can avoid the drop this season, as they believe that the next couple of days will define how their season shapes up.
Rafa Benitez faces a task that he’s yet to experience during his time in England, as his Newcastle side are deep in the midst of a relegation battle. Indeed, with there being no time to waste, the Spaniard is looking to bolster his squad ahead of one of the most important periods in the historic club’s history. And, according to reports in the Daily Star, Newcastle United are interested in England-U21 international and MLS star Jack Harrison.
There’s no hiding that Newcastle United lack pace and creativity on either side of the pitch, with Matt Ritchie often carrying the heavy load on his shoulders as chances are few and far to come by. But, New York City winger Jack Harrison has been the subject of talk that’s linked him with a move away from America, originally in a loan deal with the view to a permanent move. And, with immediate additions needing to be included into the squad, the Magpies received a boost as the New York club is understood to be interested in a cash deal now.
But in difficult times who are going to be heavily reliant on the experience of certain players pulling the club through, the focus will be more on looking towards proven talent. As although the youngster has the potential to become something special, and can offer a considerable amount of talent to this Newcastle side, he isn’t expected to make an immediate impact in the first-team with lots of progression still to be had.

A very promising player that’s established himself as a star over in the MLS, and would definitely add a lot to a Newcastle midfield that does lack trickery and adventure. Although, at a time where an immediate impact is needing to be made, it’s safe to say that turning their attention elsewhere may be more suited to their current situation.
