According to a report from Chronicle journalist Mark Douglas, Newcastle United have benefited from the return of strikers Joelinton and Yoshinori Muto to training ahead of their Premier League clash with Arsenal at the weekend, but these Magpies supporters aren’t exactly jumping for joy.
Joelinton, who has scored just one Premier League goal this season way back in August (WhoScored), had to be taken off after netting against Oxford United in the FA Cup with a reported rib injury. However, with the Brazilian returning to training alongside fringe forward Muto, Steve Bruce’s side have been handed a double striking boost for their trip to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Regardless of the perceived good news, a lot of Newcastle fans aren’t exactly jumping for joy over the update, especially considering Muto has only scored once in 24 league appearances since signing from Mainz 05 in the summer of 2018.
One supporter even laid into Bruce’s alleged ‘masterplan‘ of keeping fellow striker Andy Carroll fit as backup – find all of their best comments from Twitter down below.
