Joelinton’s season at Newcastle United hasn’t really been spectacular or anything close to it, for that matter.
The 23-year-old forward has only managed to net three goals and assist a further four in 33 games played across all competitions in 2019/20 and that’s evidently not a good enough return.
But not all is lost for the Magpies’ new arrival as his display against West Brom showed some glimpses of brilliance that made Newcastle pull the trigger in the first place and bring him over.
Mark Douglas delivered a verdict on the struggling star and said that this could hopefully be a turning point for his career at the new club. He also shared a rather classy move from the centre-forward on Twitter that caught the eye of many.

Of course, it’s difficult for such a young player to live up to the hype but the fact that he’s Newcastle’s most expensive signing in the history of the club is certainly playing against him here.
The number on his back as well as the price tag with which he arrived mean that a lot is expected from him.
Hopefully, the game against West Brom truly was a turning point in his career.
