Transfer expert Rudy Galetti says that there is a 'negotiation in process' for Ryan Fraser to leave Newcastle United to join Hull City.

The Lowdown: Shelvey and Darlow out...

It has been reported that Jonjo Shelvey's proposed move to Nottingham Forest is expected to be confirmed later tonight, while Karl Darlow will also join Hull on loan after Newcastle play Southampton in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final tie at St. James' Park.

It is now being reported that another senior player could be on his way to Hull alongside Darlow in Fraser.

The Latest: Fraser talks

Taking to Twitter, Galetti says that there is a 'negotiation in progress' for Fraser to move to Hull before the deadline:

"Ryan #Fraser from #Newcastle to #HullCity is a negotiation in progress.

"The 2 clubs are working to close the deal before the end of the day."

The Verdict: Time to go...

With the addition of winger Anthony Gordon from Everton, Fraser is likely to see his game time at St. James' Park even more limited than it already has been so far this season.

The Scotland international has been limited to just eight games in the Premier League, starting in only three of those, while he also suffered a groin injury at the start of the campaign (Transfermarkt).

On £42,000-per-week in the North East, the Tynesiders could trim their wage bill by letting him go, and will not miss him too much given his lack of playing time under Eddie Howe should they let him leave.
