Lee Ryder has dropped a big inside claim on Elliot Anderson at Newcastle United.
Posting on his Twitter profile, The Chronicle journalist said with regards to the central midfield player: “We’re hearing he has really shone in training this week”.
Should Newcastle start Anderson?
In reply to a Magpies fan, Ryder also claimed that the teenager is a ‘big talent’, putting pressure on Steve Bruce to use him more in the first team when all of the players return after the international break.
Newcastle should play Anderson more
Bruce should certainly consider playing Anderson more in the first team as Newcastle aim to avoid being relegated from the Premier League for the third time in 12 seasons.
The 18-year-old has only made two appearances in the senior side so far this term, and with the Tyneside club currently on a run of six games without a win, things certainly need to change on the pitch.
Anderson surely cannot do any worse than what some more experienced players are producing lately, and with seven goals and an assist in just 11 matches across all competitions for the under-23s so far this season (Transfermarkt), he certainly knows where the goal is – something which can only help the far from potent Magpies in their battle for Premier League survival.
