An explanation has been provided as to why Steve Bruce decided to take off Federico Fernandez during his side’s 1-1 draw against Fulham at the weekend.
Fernandez fatigued?
The English tactician specifically stated that the 31-year-old was fatigued and is suffering from the after-effects of coronavirus after previously testing positive (cited by The Shields Gazette).

However, a different account was provided on social media by Mouth of the Tyne, who revealed that a disagreement over Bruce’s tactics was the reason that the £47k-per-week talent (Spotrac) was hooked.
