Ayoze Perez returns to St. James’ Park tonight, as his Leicester City side face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup.
This will be the first time he has returned to Newcastle after completing a £30m move to the King Power Stadium, which was reported by BBC Sport, and the Spaniard has tweeted ahead of the occasion:
Training hard this week We begin a competition and we do in Newcastle, it will be a special day for me! pic.twitter.com/Rqd6eqF7DY

Perez spent a total of five years in black and white, with last season being his best in front of goal, as he bagged 12 times in the Premier League and got two assists, as per WhoScored.
Having grown quite accustomed to seeing him score, Newcastle fans are now hoping he will draw a blank at St. James’ Park, with some even making a plea to him over social media.
The Spaniard hasn’t yet managed to get a goal or assist for Leicester, despite having played 234 minutes across their opening three games of the campaign.
A selection of Twitter reaction to his comment, including posts from nervous Newcastle fans, can be seen below:

Hope you play like you did for the first 4 year and not last season.

Be strange to see you playing for the opposition, I’d normally say good luck but not for tomorrow!
