Newcastle United are now reportedly eyeing up a move to sign Lee Kang-In before the summer transfer window ends.

The Lowdown: Lee praise

Lee has received some high praise in the past, being dubbed as a 'spectacular' player by former Valencia ace Dario Felman, while he has also been likened to footballing great David Silva.

Nonetheless, at just 20 years of age, the Valencia starlet certainly has a high ceiling, and has the potential to become a star in the beautiful game.

The Latest: Lee eyed

As per Alan Nixon, the St. James' Park faithful are now eyeing up a 'late move' to try and sign Lee before the deadline hits.

However, they are likely to face competition from fellow Premier League rivals in both Wolves and Southampton, as well as Mallorca from abroad.

The Verdict: Sign

Lee would certainly raise the bar in terms of quality in Steve Bruce's squad, and his previous comparisons to Manchester City legend Silva should be enough to convince the Toon Army that he would be a maestro in their midfield.

Having recently impressed with South Korea at the Olympic games in Tokyo, scoring three goals in four games (Sofascore), Lee has not yet featured this season, but in the last campaign he managed one goal and four assists in 27 matches in total over all competitions (Transfermarkt).

With the competition for his signature and the fact that there are only a few days left of the window to go, the North East outfit will have to act fast to bring the promising playmaker to Tyneside.
